Get the Microsoft Powertoy called TweakUI. It has an option to turn off the notification.

Why not just leave it there? What is it hurting? Also, TweakUI is a very useful tool.

1 Start the registry editor 2 Navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\email address 3 Double-click Message Count, set the value to 0, then click OK. 4 Close the registry editor. |
