You mean you can see the little cursor in the progress bar at the bottom of the Windows loading screen moving from left to right 5 or 6 times.
That sounds normal to me. What's your boot time in seconds ? RJ

Post your system specs and all the programs that run in background. And have you installed lots of fonts?
Do you clean out the Windows Temp folders regularly? What about scanning for spyware, viruses and trojangs? Cricket

for me, it seems like every new installed programs makes my boot up time slower. Like before I installed a game a couple of days ago, it was 7 bars. and after if was 8 bars.

To me it seems that all of the Win Updates add time to system startup. I have all updates and very few startup programs 17 processes running and it takes mine about 90 seconds...Should I be concerned?

If you have a lot of programs that run at startup, or as Cricket said a lot of extras like fonts, the boot up will take a long time. Try to cut down on the things that run at startup.
Proper system maintenence also helps. Be sure to run AV and spyware scans. Clear out cookies and temp internet files, and also run a defrag. |
