Windows 2k pro & NTFS file systems question

I'm trying to get a heads-up here as I'm in the process of building a new system. I have already installed win 2k pro on an older 8 gig Maxtor. This drive is partitoned ntfs and not fat32. I have on order a new 120 gig Maxtor drive in which I plan to replace the 8 gig with. Once the 120 gig is installed (primary drive) I plan to clone the 8 gig (secondary drive now) to the 120 gig.

Will I be able to clone the 8 gig (ntfs partition) to the new 120 gig drive (fat 32 partition? In the end I want the new primary drive to have the file system as ntfs.

I'm new to anything above windows 98se. Hopefully I asked my question without a lot of babble. Thanks

Yep. You can either use Ghost or the manufacturer's disk tools to clone the drive.

Your new drive has no file system on it as yet, and will not untill you put one there either by formatting it, or in the case of using a disk cloning program then it exactly mirrors whatever is on the old disk to the new one.
