i know the problem just don't know how to solve it

The problem is, is that i've somehow got some spyware installed on my machine which does stupid things to my laptop.

things like when ever i open internet explorer whislt connected to the internet, it loads up three other browsers and directs them to different web sites.

After about 5 or 10 minutes my laptop becomes unstable and whenever i try to minimise a screen, theres a little animation that normaly happens when you minimise but the screen just stays there.

The last problem (that i know about) is that when ever i'm viewing a web page, every so often the search pannel opens up.

To solve these problems (apart from the last one i need to open task manager when i turn my laptop on and end the processes that are boxed in red in the picture attached. I've ran a spyware program and allthough it comes up with 3 results, after i delete them they are still there on my machine.

please help

First of all go to C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username \Local Settings There are three folders, History, Temp, and Temporary Internet Files. Go into each one, select all files and hold down shift and press Delete.

Download Spybot and Ad-Aware. Make sure you update each program after installing. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode with Networking. Once it's up, run the two programs, delete any files it finds, and make sure to erase the backups the programs create. Then mosy on over to Trendmicro's site for a free online scan. Make sure you boot into Safe Mode with Networking or you won't be able to do the virus scan.

That you should get you started...

e.n.

BTW, the first step isn't necessary but it will help the spyware programs scan faster. After you do this, reboot and rescan with all three. Good Luck!

i've done everything you said and it's amazing how many infectious files i had, totaling them all up i would have to say they it was 200+

Although having said that, i still have one more problem with spyware.

in the origonal message o said that when ever i open a browser, windows automaticly opened 3 others and directs them to different places. now it only opens up 1 more, is there any other way of getting rid of this
