Systems Volume Information\_restore

I have been having problems defragging, and in trying to resolve the problems, I have found that something called "Systems Volume Information\_restore" is taking up an awful lot of my disk resourses.
I have done searches to locate "Systems Volume Information\_restore", but I am unable to find it.
My question(s) is what is this and if it relates to my systems restore points, can I delete all but the latest entries.
If I can find "Systems Volume Information\_restore" and delete some restore points, where is it located?
Thanks for the help.
Fritz

Control Panel->System Icon->System Restore tab. BUT, you can only zap all of em or none of them. Turn it off. Turn it back on and create a restore point.

Thanks EzyStvy,
I will try that. But let me ask you, dosesn't XP have a cutoff point or date as to how much restore data it carries/keeps in the system. I think my system now has about 8GB of restore data in it and I have only set a couple of restore settings. My system is really getting bogged down and I don't want that to happen again.

If I might bump in, you can find the settings for that in Configuration Panel, click on System and then on the System Restore tab. You can specify for each hard disk how much (in %) it will use.

You can delete all but the most recent restore point in Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup>More Options tab>System Restore section>Clean up button.
