When is WinXP SP2 coming out?

Anyone know when XP SP2 is supposed to come out? Apparently, it's going to make this POS OS more secure and reliable. Somehow, I doubt it. Thanks.

Last I heard, somewhere this month. But I'd advise STRONGLY against installing it right away when it comes out, SP2 contains a lot of new functionality and some new strict security settings which will probably disable quite a few programs like virusscanners/firewalls etc. If you wait at least a month, you can at least see how many people have problems with it and by then there will probably be quite a few workarounds/bugfixes too.

I also heard this month, but of course M$ can change it once again
But Windows XP is a great OS, not a POS OS. You somehow must be talking about the wrong OS. . .

Didn't they push the release date of SP2 back to the end of August sometime? I'm going to wait for a bit before installing SP2, make sure the bugs are out of its system. LOL
