Changing where Programs are installed

I recently built a computer and partitioned the Primary MAster drive to have a 10gb partition for Windows XP and the rest (110gb) for programs and such. I also included a WD Raptor drive. My problem is: whenever i install a program, it defaults to say where i want to install the program (ie. c:/program files) But there is only 10gb on that C: partition. If i wanted to, say, install on drive D: or G:, I have to change the destination everytime. and i was wondering if there is a way around this. thanks

Go to the regsitry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion, and you will find an entry called ProgramFilesDir. Changing that should change the default. However, some programs expect to be installed to C:\Program Files, so changing that may make some apps unhappy.

I think you can change this with TweakUI as well.
