changing a default

Here is my question....

I am using Window XP Home Edition.

When I use "save target as..." the box opens with a default of "list"
When I use "save picture as..." the box opens with a default of "thumbnail"

I want every box that opens to default to "DETAILS" CAN THAT BE DONE?

The folders can be consistent since there is a "folders option" in the tools. Can these other popups do it too?
