Over the top install

A few months ago I did an over the top install on my laptop with the Cab files (without win98se cd), now Im trying to do on a desktop and cant find them in c:windows/options/cabs is it possible that certain installations dont have them?

By defualt, Win98 doesn't copy the cab files to the hard drive.

You can, however, copy those files to that location if you have a Win98se installation disk handy. It won't change the registered product key of the Win98se already on the hard drive. It's considered just a repair tool in such cases: perfectly legal.
