Keeps Restarting On Boot-Up

Hi,

I have searched the forums for an answer to this but couldn't find what I was looking for (sorry if there is an answer to this already). My PC has a P4 2.0ghz, 512MB DDR PC2100 Ram, 80Gb Hard-Disk. I can't remember all the details but will be able to get them when I get home.

The PC has been working fine for 2 years or so, but since yesterday I can't get into Windows either in normal or safe mode. It loads to the blue welcome screen in Windows XP and then just restarts.

I have a feeling it maybe something to do with the fact that my sister shut down the computer a couple of nights ago by switching the plug off rather than shutting the PC down properly.

I have opened the PC up and had a look inside and everything seems ok, any suggestions would be really appreciated...

Thanks

Sunny

Do you have the XP cd so that you can do a repair install ?
Ask your sister why she shutdown the computer that way.
Was it doing anything that made that necessary ?
