I can't make out the pic. But the 100 sounds normal as long as the CPU usage at the bottom isn't at 100.

My system idle process varies from 97-99, but my CPU usage under performance is usually around 0-2% when my computer is doing nothing. So I would say it’s normal.

If you have processes taking up 100% of the CPU all the time, unless you're running something like F@H which you'd expect to be doing this, it's not a bad idea to run virus and spyware scans.

All that means is that that proses is using 99% of 0%. Or how much % that process is using of how much preformance the cpu is giving out.

I am almost 100% positive that it is normal, read this passagebelow from this site… http://www.answersthatwork.com/Taskl...s/tasklist.htm

“Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003 only. This is a process which runs on each CPU in your PC/Server and whose sole purpose is to total up the amount of time when the processor is not doing anything. In Task Manager (Task List) this process usually accounts for the majority of processor time.”

And we are not talking about CPU usage under the performance tab, if that was close to 100% when the computer was doing nothing than that would no doubt be bad, but we are talking about the CPU under the processes tab.
