Install 2 XP's on 2 HD's for digital video
I want to install a second HD with a Second XPpro on the same PC so I can have a clean OS and HD to do some digital video editting with out conflicts.
I have an XPpro on a WD120 and it works well. I have a blank WD250 to install a second XP on if it will work. Can anyone tell me if it is that easy? Can I use a second XPpro or should I use XPhome? Any suggestions? I did not buy the second XP yet because i'm not sure if it will work. |

you can install the same copy that you have on to the second hard drive xp pro will do all the work setting up a duel boot system. boot from the CD and run setup just select the second hard drive the licence is one copy to one computer but you can install that copy to as many hard drives and partitions that you want as long as its on one computer

Can you tell me if the pc will give a boot option when starting - or will i have to bios it every time?
The OS issue is touchy. I would hate to have uncle Bill send me to the chain gang. I have read many threads on OS rules and i'm not sure the answer is clear in any case. But I like your answer the best. So i'm going to use it. Thanks, Gary |
