Computer Clock
I have two W2K machines that are not networked. I use them for some stuffs. BUt I try to keep their time very close to the nearest second. But everytime I look at the computer time clock one of them is ahead by at least 10 seconds. I will set them close again and in about 3 to days it will be ahead again by about 9 secs. One m/c is 5 years old and the other is about 3 yrs old. Is this a CMOS battery problem? Will setting the clock at the DOS prompt or the BIOS correct this? What other way available to sync these m/cs w/o networking or connecting to remote time clocks?

you can replace the CMOS battery's on both computers and set the bios time the same on both but with out connecting both computer to a internet time server you will get a time difference after a wile as the bios clocks are not very accurate and windows sets its time from them
