WinXP doesn't like me anymore.
OK, I just built this computer about a week ago and I went through PC Mech's OS Tweaks (http://www.pcmech.com/show/optimize/677/) and tweaked my system a little. I created a system restore point before I did any tweaks, but when I restarted and tried to log on I got an error saying...
Windows - Delayed Write Failed Windows was unable to save all the data for the file C:\$Mft. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere. this error pops up many times, sometimes the file changes. I did a system restore but it didn't work. any ideas? |

Exactly which tweaks did you do?
Is your computer overclocked? What are the system specs? Cricket

Delayed write failed can be indicative of impending hard drive failure. You might want to run hard drive diagnostics. Download WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics and make the bootdisk.
