Minor Explorer problem in Win2kpro
I just built a new machine which contains windows 2000 Pro with SP4.
Windows explorer window is up. Whenever I delete a directory from the explorer window it will always dissapear from the explorers right window pane but not the left. i.e. If I were to delete C:\myfolder1\myfolder2, myfolder2 would no longer show in the right window pane but wouldn't disappear from the left. Of course after deleting this folder and then clicking on it I would get a message stating that this folder no longer exists. Refreshing doesn't take care of the problem. Closing and then reopening windows explorer will then show the refreshed left window pane. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Try this reg tweak:
Automatically Refresh File Lists in Explorer Change the value of UpdateMode in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Update from 01 to 00 It'll speed up Explorer pretty nicely overall. |
