I want to go legal!
I am currently running a version of Windows XP Pro that is not licensed. I want to change this. Does anyone know how I go about it? I am a noob so this may be a foolish question. I would prefer not to wipe my system clean and start from scratch. Can I purchase a copy and reload it? Help!

If you purchase the same edition of XP Pro, you might be able do a product key change and activate that new key. Many people with bogus installations are victims of shady sellers, so Microsoft wants to make it easy to change the key. But it has to be the same edition. If you have a bougs corporate copy, you'll have to reinstall.
