Small detail to fix but don't know how
I need whatever file I have on the desktop or anywhere on my hard drive to show the .jpg or .gif or whatever it is. Can you show me how to get all those files to show their complete file name?
thanks Last edited by john ranger; 06-17-2008 at 10:53 AM. |

Open Windows-Explorer, go to Extras > Folder Options, then to the View tab, and uncheck the checkbox named Hide File Extentions for Known File Types (or similar).

Hello, if you go into My Computer> Tools > Folder Options, click on the View tab and there will be a check box for "hide extensions for known types of files". That should be what you're looking for.
