Does anyone know how to Change Control Panel View to Catagory view? I can't find the steps.

Look at the top of the left panel when you open Control Panel.

OK well first make sure that you have "Use common tasks in folders" option enabled in Performance options(Right Click My Computer>Properties>Advanced>Performance Settings for XP) and then open the Control Panel and there should be an option to the left and upper corner that says "Switch to so-and-so view." Hope thats what you were looking for.

This is what I have:
(Right Click My Computer>Properties>Advanced> In advanced attributes box, General tab, selected buttons are: File is ready for archiving. For fast searching, allow indexing service to index this file selected. In Shortcut tab: it is grayed out but I see Run in seperate memory space. Thats not what you mentioned. I am using SP1 XP Professional. No option in upper left of control panel Steve |

open control panel click tools at the top then folder options then in the general tab selec use common tasks hit apply the you get the option to switch views
