problems laoding some IMPORTANT floppies

Hi Members !
I am having problems downloading A: floppies from a MicroSoft page. These are some of the MOST important floppies I want to make. I want them bad. Problem : It is just not going to my Floppy in the A: drive. I have done things right (?). When the box came up I clicked on the Save TO DISK --when the next box comes up , I go to the top of that box and pick A: drive Floppy. I then click on SAVE. It then prompts me to put in a disk in which I do. The file is over 4 MB and they tell you to have other disks to put in. When it starts downloading , I watch till et gets 1.4 on the first disk (i wait till over 2 MB and stop the download). My problem is that it doesn't prompt me to put in the second disk. After all is stopped , I look at the disk to see if anything is on there and there is not. Nothing was loaded on the first disk. I did download to 'Documents ' and the file did OK.----------these disks will install drivers and other things and make your CD ROM work when it won't if you need to reload XP. I mean , how would it fill if your computer crashes and the CD ROM want work. You have tried every thing you know and are helpless. -- Anyway , it just won't download the page to my A: drive.-------------------------Don

Why do you want them anyway ? The Windows XP CD is bootable, and that is all you're ever gonna need.

There is no "CD-ROM won't work". . the CD-ROM always works. If it doesn't that means it's broken and you need to get a new one anyway.

Cool

I believe you should let it finish as it is probably loading to a temporary file on your HD. If that is the case, it will write the floppies when finished with download.
