With no warning, every program I try to activate now results in the
following response, "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." I don't know what to do to rectify this new problem. Everything worked very well before. I have no problem getting on-line and receiving/ sending E-mail. I did notice that at the same time as this problem arose, I also get a yum.exe-Application Error stating, "The instruction at 0x77t83905 referenced memory at 0x00000001. The memory could not be "written. Click on OK to terminate the program." This error appears as I initiate and depart the internet. I have SBC DSL through Yahoo. |

Do a system restore back to a date when everything still worked right.

folder options control panel in XP Home
glc. System restore is just another program that also cannot be initiated.
I've already attempted this earlier. Nothing in programs can be activated by "clicking" on it. This also applies to everything previously available in System Tools. I also neglected to furnish the components I built into my "home-built." Antec P-160 case with 2 case fans and 400 W. PSU; CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2800,FSB 333MHz, 2.08 GHz; Kingston memory module, 512 MB, 400 MHz, DDR PC 3200; Asus mobo, A7V600; Video card: ATI Radeon 9200, AGP; HDD: WD, 80GB, 7200 rpm; Artec Silver CD-RW; Alps, 3.5 FDD and Windows XP installed (more or less). |
