cd playback
ok well here it is i jsut did a fresh install of win xp home on my girlfriends dell. It is a p4 2.4 with 512MB ram. For some odd reason when she goes to play her music from a cd it gets choppy and the music is distored. Not sure what this is all about. can anyone help.

open control panal then system then device manager expand ide controlers right click primery and select properties then advanced make shore its useing dma then check the secondery controler all so have you updated all your drivers and any windows updates that are avalable

you were right jsut had to enable dma
