Question Unable to complete xp install

I am trying to install win xp home edition on a new hard drive and for some reason I cannot complete the install. When it gets down to the last 36 minutes of install the computer screen go black and then it flashes a few times and goes completely black. It is like the computer is hanging up. I can not figure out what I need to do to fix this. I checked the ram and reseated it hoping that would fix it,but it did not work. Does anyone know what to do to fix this?

Hmmmmm...had this happen to me while trying to install XP on a friends PC. Turned out XP didn't like the AMD configuration along with the type of video card he had. He got a different card (I think it was an MSI) and then the install went fine.

I found out it was the graphics card . I put a new one in that fixed it. I now have it installed. Thanks for your help.
