Question autoupdate says its DLing but really isn't!

I think my auto update is trying to download SP2 but I can't tell. I have all current hotfixes except SP2. What happens is..the little icon will pop up and say downloading updates 0%. But it will stay like that for hours (6-7). I use cable modem and have restarted a couple times. Same thing happens. Any ideas or fixes? Should I just DL the SP2 and install it myself? Thanks Guys.

Yep. That is the best way. I don't know why your AutoUpdate won't work, but one thing is for sure: If you reinstall Windows, you gotta download all updates again.
If you download the entire pack (260 MB. . but with cable you'll get it in a jiffy, . . . in a much less time than the 6-7 hours you already spent), you can update your current system, and you can slipstream it (just look at the other SP2 threads if you want more information about it), then you'll never have to download or install SP2 again.

Obtaining SP2 via AutoUpdate does not have any advantages for you.
