Just a question
I have a user at work who has ask me if I could set her computer up to when she opens a window, the previous window will go away & not goto the bottom of the screen. Here is an example she gave me:
If she opens "my computer" & then clicks on her "c drive" the my computer window will disappear. When she clicks on "progam files" the "c drive" will go away. She said she had Windows 2000 where she used to work & it was set up like this there. She now has Windows NT. I work with windows XP & NT & 2000 here. If this is possible for me to do this, how & where in the OS is the settings to do this? Thanks |

The old window does not "go away" it is a setting that helps people reduce clutter or the number of windows by reusing the old window. To alter the behavior open My Computer (or any folder for that matter) TOOLS > Folder Options > In the General Tab : Browse Folders section > Open Each folder in its Own Window
