A security hole ?
Why am I not surprised ?
I've just installed it and, so far, it's causing no trouble. It only took a few minutes to get back to the settings I had earlier and turn off the XP firewall.
The guys at Microsoft will really have to explain why I now have one more item in my system tray though. It's informing me that my local area connection is not functioning.
Status : limited or no connectivity.
You don't say ?
It couldn't be that I have only one pc at the moment, could it ?
There is a plus side to the install though.
Before ZA and Norton's took their sweet time showing up now they're much faster.
The boot time to get into XP is a little longer but nothing like the dramatic slow downs some people have had trobule with. So, on the whole, I'm up and running sooner than I used to be.
I'll order the cd from Microsoft when it's available, more out of curiosity than anything else, and see how that goes when I reformat later this year.
