pass word expires

Good afternoon folks...Now I'm not an expert at win 2K,so when I get a flash screen that states that my passwoord will expire in 13 days when ever I fire up this machine, and goes down one day each time I reboot, what does it mean?? because I never put a password to log onto my computer....virus????or what...TIA

I am guessing, so things might not be there, but in Control Panel select Users, sleect your account, then Password (or create password) then untick something along the lines of expires. (I can't be 100% sure everything is there though.)

try this
Right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.
Click to expand Local Users and Groups, and then click Users.
Double-click the user account that should not have a password expiration, and click to select the Password never expires check box

I don't think mine will work, only ever used Win2K for about 3/4 hours at a time. Andy's is probably the solution.
