Omnibook XE2

Friend of mine has this HP Omnibook XE2 laptop and after a reinstall he hasn't got a graphics driver for it. the display only allows 16 bit colour which he didn't have before. Tried looking on the net for a driver but can't find one for W2K. any directions would be really helpful thanks

trident Cyberblade onboard graphics. DriverGuide logon: drivers pwd: all

OR go here:
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

Click drivers, type your model # in the search field
there are 4 different models. Xe2-Db, Dc, Dd, De, Di
Which is it?

omnibook xe2-DE and the problem is that it only allows 16 bit colours. I believe a driver is missing. I've downloaded the driver from HP but doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions, or directions to other possible causes, haven't got the 2000 disk on us so what can i do???

That has the Trident Cyber blade graphics that I linked to. Go to my first link at videodrivers.com, click on the link to driver guide, enter "drivers" for username and "all" for password, download the windows 2000 Trident Cyberblade 7i driver for Windows 2000 and see if it works. Otherwise, search Google or go to trident's site.

EDIT: I looked on Trident's (Jaton) site, it's the usual...every other word spelled incorrectly, very little support for anything. Try the driver from driverguide, good luck. If that driver doesn't work, try e-mailing HP's support.
