I am in a loop with the install. I have 2 SATA Drives and the XP Pro sees a lost of the 2 disks with existing partitions and unpartitiond space. Not sure what I have to do at this point. I have reformatted both disks through xp but xp still won't load.
Any ideas? |

It sounds as if you've skipped a few steps.
You removed the old partitions, you reformatted, you reinstalled the SATA drivers from the floppy when XP asked ?

I had to reformat both disks while trying to install windows xp. It takes you there. I had no choice. It showas out of 36 gigs on both drives I have 24 megs of unpartitioned space.

To install XP follow the steps here : http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/O...allxphome1.htm
What will differ for you is that when the window pops up asking for the drivers for the SATA drives you will hit F6 and follow the instructions ( you've got the floppy disk with the drivers you'll need ). Remember, you have to remove the partition. |
