Need Downloading Error Help Please........

Hey gang hope everyone is doing great......

Started having a problem about a week ago downloading .exe files, I keep getting a active x error. So I thought it might of been my version of IE having a problem so I just tried updating at MS site; however I am getting the same error and can't even download that. I am running WIN98SE and IE 5. I have posted a text screen shot of the error below:

When I go to active X link to download correction I am not sure what I need, please help.

. . . that address in your message looks like the download link to IE6. You could download IE6 from Windows Update if you wish, but you shouldn't need to. If you're happy with how IE5 is performing, try the Registry edit described in the MSKB article in the link above, and you should be OK.

Anytime that unusual activity centers around ActiveX controls, I also recommend running a complete system antivirus/antispyware scan. Just to be sure.
