How do I stop this from happening

My wifes computer when I boot up the first window is the normal dos window then this window comes up and asks which system to boot up 1 or 2. How do I stop that from happening to make it just keep booting up without stopping there.
Thanks

The computer has one hard drive I can't understand why it's asking that.

Someone stuck the XP cd in and started another install????

See the attached pic. You can edit the Boot.ini and remove one of the entries.

Control Panel->System Icon->Advanced->Startup

Unless you give us more information than you have already, to tell you how to fix the problem, is next to impossible. Allwe will be doing is making a stab in the dark. Okay, what OS are you using, is there more than one, What hardware is on your PC, HDD, MOBO, CPU, RAM, Videocard, Audiocard, Optical drives, and also how is all this configured? Once we have enough info, we can make an educated solution.thorlo6
