Why can't I change my homepage
I go to change my homepage and XP tells me that I must consult my "system administrator" to perform this change.
This just started a month or so ago. I am the owner and the only user of this computer. Is there a setting I messed up? Thanks in advance for your help. BTW. I checked. It says I AM the administrator, the man, the king, the honcho...............so what gives?

Your computer may have gotten hijacked. Have you tried scanning your computer for viruses, spyware and trojans? Do you know about Hijack This! and have you run it yet?

Yes I have checked, but find it difficult to decipher
I know about Hijack This and have run it. But I am not sure which line causes the problem. Any ideas?

try downloading/installing/**updating** adaware and spybot. . .Make sure you update them, then let both run full scans. . .if that doesn't work, download and run CWShredder, make sure all IE windows are close before running. Be sure to run the "fix" option, not just scan. . .If that doesn't work, run hijack this and post the log in the security forum here.
