I messed something up in XP
Today I was downloading some files and I use to get a box that came up that would ask me if I wanted to save my dowloads or open them. There was a check box that asked if I didn't want this message to come up again and I unchecked it. Now everytime I download something it trys to automatically save to a temp folder. I reseted the IE options under the advanced tab in the IE settings but that didn't bring up that box. Is there a way I can get that download box to come back? I'm using Windows XP w/ SP2.
Update: Ok this is odd, some sites will make the download box come up while other sites will try and throw the download into the temp folder. So when I go to megagames.com to download, the files will go to a temp folder but when I am at themexp.org the download box pops up and asked me what I want to do. I guess I did something right cause it seems to be going back to normal little by little. Last edited by alf717; 08-25-2004 at 05:13 AM. |

Within IE Tools, Options there should also be a "Download" tab.
This is where you recheck the box for "Ask me where to save every file" |
