I'm having trouble with one of my hard drives. I'm using my other drive and I can still access files on the troubled drive, just can't boot into it.
I want to access my messages and address book in Outlook Express on the drive I can't boot into. Can someone tell me how to do that?? I've seen the "IMPORT" option in outlook express, but don't know how to make it work. Thanks, Radar |

Consider that the hard drive you are booting from is D: and your original hard drive is L: (adjust drive letters as necessary). Asssume that the username on the old XP was: radar1
So go to OE > FILE > IMPORT > ADDRESSBOOK > and navigate to L:\Documents and Settings\radar1\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book and select the WAB file in the directory |

Search the drive for *.dbx files - when you find inbox.dbx, sent items.dbx, etc. you have found them. They will be buried in your docs and settings under an identity. Note the path, then when you import messages, import them from a OE store directory and browse to the correct path.
