Quote:

In an article posted in the Knowledge Base section (http://dw.com.com/redir?destUrl=http...7343&lop=nl_ex) of its Web site, Microsoft says that Service Pack 2 may not work with computers running Advanced Micro Devices' 64-bit microprocessors. AMD's 64-bit chips include the Athlon 64 for PCs and the Opteron for servers
...

Installing SP2 on AMD 64-bit machines may cause the devices to restart repeatedly, according to Microsoft.
