Ok, so now after reformating and installing all of my new software, I thought it was ready to listen to some tunes.
Well I install iTune only to realize that I HAVE NO SOUND. For some reason the sound card driver isn't on my computer anymore. The problem is I dont know what kid of sound card I have. Is there anyway that my computer would have that info? I need to install that driver ASAP! Thanks in advance, (AGAIN) |

Turn off your computer and take out the sound card. Is there anything written on it?
If not, what is written on the largest chip on the card? What O/S are you running?

Search for drivers for the card that will work on XP. driverguide.com is usually a good place to find them. If it's a creative sound blaster card, take a look at creative's site first.

ok, I dont wuit know exactly what card it is. I am guessing it is the one that is hooked up to the speaker plugin, etc. However, I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TAKE IT OUT. I am looking at it right now and it appears that there isn't any label on it that says what type of card it is. So, i've included pictures for you:

From what you told me on AIM, you have onboard audio. Find the motherboard drivers, and the audio drivers should be on the CD. If not, google your make and model and find the drivers from there.

Do you know what's the name of the motherboard ? If it's integrated audio, that's where you have to get any drivers.
