Unhappy Fdisk & Partition help

can anyone help me plz I was cleaning out my brothers computer and I fdisked and deleted the partition and when I started to create a new partition my nephew turned off the computer now I can't create a new partition I tried to fdisk it again to get back to the create partition command prompt but it wont let me at the command prompt when I type FDISK ..it say's..... no fixed disk present and I can't go any further ...help..

Check the cables and power connectors. Is the POST (the bit at the beginning of the boot where it counts your memory, detects your hard drives etc) detecting the hard disk ?

It's very possible that turning off the computer while you were doing that crashed the drive.
