Right Click Menu Items
Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help me remove some right-click menu items, when I right click the desktop and go to "New" there is some stuff I need to remove that are from old programs that have been uninstalled a while ago.
Please help.

There's a good little guide at ComputerHope that shows how (it covers all the recent Windows versions) http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000571.htm
late edit - since the Computer Hope link uses TweakUI to solve the situation, I suppose I should include a few links to manual solutions (Registry edits) -- http://www.experts-exchange.com/Oper..._20218758.html -- in that thread, they mention a few locations in the Registry to check. TweakUI is probably easier if you'd rather not bother with manual editing. TweakUI has builtin UnDo features, too, in case you change your mind about any modifications. And it can do other customizing as well. Last edited by GaryRouth; 08-28-2004 at 06:19 PM. |
