windows xp reboots on boot
So my friend has a HP with XP. He claims that it will reboot wile booting up.
I told him to turn on pc, and hit (f5 or f8) until you see a menu and boot into safe mode. He also has macfee which i dont like at all and its probably old. if he can boot into safe mode then ill have him go to trendmicro.com and do a virus scan but if it dont find any thing can you restore in safe mode? any think els you guys can think of? |

If you can boot up in safe mode, try running spyware and AV scans first.
[edit]: Windows prompts you if you wish to do a system restore upon entering safe mode.
