.meta files ???????????

hi all. in my mp3 folders, there seems to be a .meta folder in every one of my mp3 albums !! when i open them , there are xml icons in the same amount of songs that are in the mp3 folder !! what the hell are these ???????

Meta files contain info about the photo that can be entered by You.

When you shot the pic/where you shot it, lens settings etc etc etc.

Or, in your case, Who the band is. The name of the song/album etc etc

They never used to be there !!, ive deleted these before and they came back !! are they harmless then ??

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that yes, they're harmless. A quick search did not turn up exactly which program is creating them. What are you using to play your MP3 files ? I think that's the one doing it, and you may be able to switch it off in the settings.

Did you recenlty uncheck Hide hidden files in explorer?

Ive done a format recently and ive stuck sp2 on !! apart from that everythings as it was !!!
Ive never come across these before , and they are in every folder .
