Question windows 98 boot problem

hey all

my dads old windows 98 intel p3 has a problem- whenever you turn it on 9 times out of ten it will just shut down again- any ideas?

Here are some problems that may cause this behavior.

A few things that come to mind are virus infection, a bad power supply, bad software/hardware you had installed, etc… When and how did this particular issue start happening? Can you describe in more detail what shows up on your monitor?

Can you boot in Safe Mode?
