Mouse arrow freezes on startup

Would anyone know why my mouse would occasionally freeze-up on startup of windows? I have a new build (4 months) with Windows XP Pro. Everything about the boot-up happens normally but sometimes I have to re-boot because the mouse arrow is frozen in one position on the desktop. I'm using a Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse also. Any suggestions?

Mine used to do that also, (very annoying), there was no ryme or reason to it, just every once in a while and no consistency to the frequency of it happening either. I ended up putting in a new motherboard and it hasn't happened since and I have the same mouse. My motherboard was pretty old though and I had a newer spare once my daughter left from her PC. My old MOBO was an ASUS. What type of mouse and connection are you using??
