Re-formatted XP and ???????

Just finished the re-format, things are running well but I have a wierd problem.
When I just rebooted a grey full height panel appears on the left side of my screen showing the Control panel contents.
How can I get rid of this? Never saw this happen before.

I got it. It was just a tool bar that I had to close. I just don't know how I opened it in the first place. hehe
