Win XP SP1 and SP2
I have not upgraded to SP2, my question is using SP1 will I get security/driver updates still or do I have to upgrade to SP2 first.

SP2 contains newer security updates and program functionalities not present in SP1. So in essence with SP1 your OS would not be as patched as SP2. If you havent installed SP1 you can directly put in SP2, as it does have all the fixes contained in SP1 as well.
