Folder Named "a6b644b906408a55dd0a3adb1f58ce"
I was just looking into my C drive and the first folder is named the jumble up there in the title. The subfolder is called i386 and it in turn has several folders, many empty and all files are missing the last digit of the suffix for example ".dl_"
So, as this is dated on the same day and in the time after the run of Win XP SP2 -- my questions are: do I need it? and can I delete it?

Oh yes, that sounds like a temporary folder made by SP2. If you want to make sure, first put it in the recycle bin and when nothing bads happens, you can empty the bin.

Thanks _ I figured as much and everything seems as normal with it in the bin. I'll hold off on the final delete though for a couple of days.

The same folders remain after installing SP1a, and I've long since deleted those with no adverse effects. Not giving advice here as I've not yet installed SP2, just wanted you to know that it happens with SP1a as well.
