Question Stopping that Select operating system thing..

Hey everyone, how can I stop being asked which operating system I'd like to use? It's annoying having to choose one of the 2, or just wait the 20 seconds for the default to load.

Thanks

Set your BIOS to boot from a CD, and load your WinXP CD (assuming this is the one you want to keep using). Type "r" to enter the recovery console, and from there you can use the "fixmbr" to repair the master boot record and eliminate this wait.

You need to type "fixboot" and "fixmbr".

Either that, or go start > run > type "msconfig" > "boot.ini" tab > select the entry you don't want and remove it.

it would be easier like fore flow said but I would go to MyPC and right click then select manage... Then select TAB advanced option, then choose Startup (something like that, im using spanish version of windows) .... if you want to boot staright into default option just change the number to 30 to 0 other wise select ComboBox and select the default OS that you want.
