Multiple Outlook.exe's

Everytime i open my outlook i have it automatically check my mail every 1 minute. The problem i have is that the longer it stays open and "auto" checks my mail for me, the more "outlook.exe" processes i have running in the background. Ex. I got home from classes the other day and had left it open awating my grades back, i check processes and there was about 10 of them open. Now it wouldnt be a problem if their was no memory involved, but they each take up about 7 - 11 megs of memory.

Not sure if anyone else had this problem before or not.

Running SP1 because SP2 was a utter disaster.

Does your pc get rebooted from time to time? Outlook.exe should only be running once.

I reboot my PC only when needed so its usually not more than once every 2 weeks.

There "should" only be 1 running, but i dont have 2 "Microsoft Outlook" bars in my taskbar. i just have the process running 10 times. One window and 10 of the same exact process. I have no virii or spyware so it's neither of those.

Did you try to install SP2 and then roll it back? Did you have this problem before you installed SP2?

Which Outlook, XP, 2000 or 98? If it is XP, you might try SP3 which can fix some of the bugs but changes some of the security.

I never installed SP2, i was saying it was a disaster in general with many problems.

It's MS Office 2k, and i believe i have all the patches for everything except SP2.
