Videos folder crashes

I have 10.5GB of files in my Videos folder and everytime I open with thumbnail view it crashes after a few seconds.. Why is this?

p4 2.4
512mb ram
80gb WD HD

Sounds like it could be malware to me. Have you scanned for spyware/adware/viruses?
