I loaded SP2 on my computer shortly after the update came available. I haven't noticed any issues with programs/functionality on my computer. I also loaded SP2 on my Dad's machine with no problems at all. If you are on dial-up, I would recommend ordering the CD from Microsoft. I ordered it and it only took about a week to get it in the mail. It's nice to have, just in case you would ever have to reformat your XP machine so you don't have to download it again.

According to this article here , all XP machines will be on SP2 by April 2005.

Yes, install it. Make sure you remove spyware and adware before you install SP2 by using AdAware or Spybot: S&D. If you do that, hopefully you won't have any problems.

Thanks Doctorgonzo, I had forgotten about the memo from Microsoft about removing malware before running the update!

I'm recommending to my customers that they hold off till the dust clears.
