Windows XP 64 Bit
Okay, so Microsoft has released a one year trial version for Windows XP 64 Bit.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/6...n/upgrade.mspx Has anyone started using it yet? I want to know, is the software crippled in anyway? Additionally, will it expire in a year and then lock me out of my own system? What exactly happens to the software after a year if anything? |

ALL "Trial/Beta" software should be installed on a test system and NOT a system you depend on.
Yes it will quit working when the trial period is over. Will probably prompt you to purchase it. |

Yes, it will quit working and lock you out, and the only way to boot the computer may be to reformat and reinstall an operating system. So........if you do install it, keep backups of all your data and be prepared for a total wipe at any time.
