XP hangs on boot at Logo screen
Hi,
I have a machine that periodically gets into a bit of a state on reboot. After the usual BIOS start-up messages the XP logo appears with the moving green bar at the bottom (SP1). If you watch the Keyboard, the NUM LOCK etc. lights flash and then go out and then nothing else happens: no disk activity, to more lights on/off and no boot! Just the flashing green bar along the bottom of the logo. Safe mode, etc. is available and after several reboots it works (not always the same number). Weird or what? Thanks in advance, Mark. |

Your prob sounds similar to the issues I had see http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=110739 when I upgraded a load of hardware. Has this machine ever had any h/w changes? sw |
